Anime Frontier: Ribbon Rodeo

Let’s decorate our Anime Frontier badges with YEAR 3 of Ribbon Rodeo! We’re excited to have this program return in 2026 – And hope you’ll join us at the Remix Roundup Stage.

Ribbon Rodeo is an opportunity for all Anime Frontier attendees to get in on the fun! Show off your fandom, meet with fellow fans and make new friends as you trade, exchange, and stack ribbons on your badge.

More details to be announced in Fall 2026!

FAQs & Ribbon Rodeo Rules

It’s a small, foil-print ribbon piece with a sticky adhesive strip along the top, to make it easy to add to your badge for Anime Frontier. See below for an example:

Not at all! It’s an option, not a requirement.

Most of the ribbons you see around Anime Frontier are both created and paid for by your fellow attendees. Some fans will be giving them out freely, and some fans will be looking to make a trade! If you’d like a ribbon from Anime Frontier, be sure to stop by the Remix Roundup Stage.

Join us at our official meet up each day at the Remix Roundup Stage, where you can trade, giveaway, and collect ribbons! Or just chat with folks throughout the Convention weekend- I’m sure you’ll meet more than a few cowpokes willing to share!

We’d love it if you did!

You’re welcome to research printers on your own, but if you’re not sure where to start, here’s some options for you to look into:

  • PC/Nametag
  • Name Badge Productions
  • MARCO Promos

Ribbons come in many, many different designs. You can have character outlines/silhouettes, include quotes, or even just some imagery that only your fandom would recognize. It’s entirely up to you! (And whatever the printer allows.) *Please note that ribbon content needs to adhere to Anime Frontier’s policies.*

Our badge are approximately 3×5 inches wide, so folks typically order 3 or 4 inch ribbons, with varying heights. Your image size should be at 34:9 aspect ratio, and in PDF file format. You can use as much of the space as you like, but please remember – Ribbons will be printed as submitted. Be sure you like your text, size, photo quality, etc!

Remember your Ribbon Rodeo Etiquette!

  • There is no charging money for ribbons unless you are a vendor or at your table in artist alley. We suggest trades, fun challenges, silly dances, or trivia questions instead!
  • Please be kind, patient, and polite when asking about ribbons – Whether you are collecting or passing them out, we want to make sure everyone feels included and has fun!
  • Don’t forget– Folks might say “No.” – If someone is running out of ribbons, only doing trades, or only handing out ribbons only to specific fandoms/cosplayers, you may get a “no” when you ask for a ribbon. Whatever the reason, please accept that politely. Let’s respect all fans and move forward with the rest of your convention day!
  • Ribbons sometimes fall off after a busy day of ruckus at Anime Frontier – be sure to have some extra tape on hand to hold your ribbons together and on your badge.
  • As a reminder, Ribbon Rodeo is all for the FUN! There is no competition or prizing. Let’s all have a great time!
